About this site

I think there's nothing I can personally say about the modern internet that hasn't been said before, by smarter people, in more accurate and intelligent ways. There are, and always will be, places on the internet that are enriching and fascinating. But the most popular websites where most people congregate are quickly becoming unbearable.

I see my internet usage as deeply unhealthy and I want to be more mindful of it. Using social media is fun sometimes, sure, but I notice that most of all it's an addicting timesink, it makes me anxious, it makes me hate myself and spend precious moments of my life on things that contribute nothing but negativity. Still, I love the internet, in some ways it has saved my life, and I want to experience all the things I'm missing out on by browsing social media for hours per day. I want this website to be my own place I enjoy visiting, where I don't feel the need to perform for other people, but still invite them to look around. I yearn to interact with likeminded people, but not in this current way I feel forced to.

Let me be honest. My internet usage and social isolation has degraded my memory and mental health severely. This is why I hope documenting and discussing things on my website will help me structure my thoughts, memories, and opinions. I don't really have many people to talk to, and I find 'posting' to be nervewracking.

Goals and aims

• Make my website responsive, accessible, and useable without javascript to the best of my ability;
• Be honest and do things that make me happy first and foremost;
